For sports and exercise: there is a small gym part of your building. If you want to swim, the YMCA is only a few steps away from your unit.

Outdoor: climbing Mont-Royal (any time of the year), Sainte-Hélène Island got a big outdoor swimming pool and nice tracks for biking and skating. There are also winter sports you can do like cross-country sky and fat biking (you can rent the equipment on site).

Attractions : Biodôme, insectarium, planetarium, fine art museum, contemporary art museum, Old Montreal, underground shopping, etc.

Few restaurants suggestions

At Complexe Desjardins: Eggspectation for breakfast, Baton Rouge (steak house), Cage aux sports, St-Hubert (for chicken). Next to Place des Arts: Brasserie T and Taverne F. In Old Montreal: Olive & gourmando, Méchant Boeuf, La Crème de la crème (dessert and pub atmosphere). Chinatown, which offers a lot of restaurants, is a few steps from the apartment. On St-Denis Street: Sushi St-Denis (the best sushi place in town), Le St-Houblon, Juliette & Chocolat, 3 Amigos (Mexican food), Mikado (wonderful Japanese food). In the Gay Village: Le Saloon, Fantasie, etc.

On Ste-Catherine Street: Ong ca can, Bistro Le Balmoral, Les 3 Brasseurs, 3 Amigos. Vegetarian restaurants: Lov,  La Panthère verte, Crudessence, Resto Vego St-Denis, Aux Vivres, Invitation V, ChuChai, La Lumière du Mile End, Le Cagibi, Lola Rosa, Restaurant Pushap, Résonance Cafe, Restaurant Yuan Vegetarian Su Shian Yuang, Le Jubar, Zero8 (gluten free). 

To taste local beer: L'Abreuvoir (festive vibes), La Distillerie, Le Saint-Bock, Le St-Houblon, Les 3 Brasseurs, Archibald at Montreal Airport.
